Seawater from Cape Busena fills the outdoor Thalasso Pool, a central component of our Wellness Programs.
Beyond the restorative health benefits of the pool’s many special features, it is also a place where you can simply lie back and enjoy the wide Okinawan sky above.

    Breathe in the sea air, taste its salty tang on your tongue, soak up some sun, and let your body be invigorated by the air jets and other tactile features of our heated Thalasso Pool.
    Filled with fresh seawater pumped in directly from Cape Busena, this one-of-a-kind facility invites you to experience the revitalizing energies of nature through each one of your senses.

  • Specially designed with 14 distinct features

    Providing light exercise aided by the natural buoyancy of seawater, the Thalasso Pool is designed to improve circulation and boost your body’s natural metabolism.
    Its 14 separate areas feature air jets placed at varying heights to massage the neck, upper and lower back, and calves, for example, as well currents that challenge you to walk against a strong flow, then yield to a gentler one.
    Aeration features, too, offer various benefits. Complete a full tour of the pool to reap the most from its restorative effects.

  • Comfortable temperature settings

    Another notable feature of the Thalasso Pool is the way its design uses gentle fluctuations in water temperature, comfortably set between 33 and 36º C, to help improve circulation and boost the body’s natural metabolism. Complete a full round of the pool to reap the maximum physical and mental benefits.

Thalasso Pool

1 Walking Course

Warm up with some walking. Fast and slow currents change up the pace.

2 Leg Jets

Massage the lower legs from the ankles to the calves.

3 Hip Jets

Massage your buttocks, hips, and lower back.

4 Posterior Massage (36º C)

Massage the back side of your body from the ankles up to the shoulders.
The seawater here is comfortably set to body temperature.

5 Aerated Seawater Bath (36º C)

The massaging action of air bubbles in this warm seawater bath increase blood flow and promote relaxation.

6 Foot Jets (36º C)

Lie back in the reclining chair as air jets massage the soles of your feet.

7 Lumbar Jets

Assume a sitting position and let the jets here massage your lower spine.

8 Back Jets

Stand while bending and flexing the knees to let the air jets massage your lower and upper back.

9 Shoulders & Neck Jets

Stand while bending and flexing the knees to let the air jets work your shoulders and neck.

10 Slimming Jets

Massage the lower back, buttocks, and the backs of the thighs.

11 Floor Jets

Enjoy the floating sensation as thousands of bubbles stream up from the pool floor to lift and support your body.

    Thalasso Bio Tour

    An essential component of our Wellness programs, the Thalasso Bio Tour unites the benefits of both hydro- and thermotherapies by combining a session in the Thalasso Pool followed by rest in our Hammam and Aerosol Napping sauna facilities. The alternating gentle stimulation of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, first while moving through the different zones of the pool, and again through restorative rest following your exercise session, will stimulate your body’s natural detoxification processes and leave you feeling refreshed and restored.
